Radiography Clinical Education Coordinator Salary: See Position Description Location: Bradenton Job Type: Department: Radiology Job Number: 5293038 Closing: Continuous Job Summary Job Summary: The Clinical Education Coordinator is an instructional faculty member responsible for maintaining the highest academic standards in his/her particular discipline. The individual is expected to exercise professionalism and civility in all activities related to the role of academician, including those concerned with the various duties assigned, and any involvement with colleagues, peers, community and students. The Clinical Education Coordinator (CEC) is responsible for the organization, administration, continuous review, and evaluation of the clinical education component of the radiography program. This role ensures that clinical experiences meet program goals, support student learning outcomes, and remain in full compliance with Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) standards. The CEC serves as the primary liaison between the college and affiliated clinical education settings and plays a central role in student supervision, clinical instruction coordination, and assessment of clinical competency. The Clinical Education Coordinator receives 3.0 ILH release time for administrative functions inherent in the position. Initial Rank and Salary will be determined at the of offer. B.Clinical Education Coordinator Responsibilities: 1.Implements and maintains compliance with all accreditation standards related to clinical education. 2.Recruits, develops, and maintains clinical education sites, including oversight of affiliation agreements and contractual requirements. 3.Develops students clinical site assignment based on program requirements, individual learning needs. 4.Ensures student readiness for clinical participation, including verification of health requirements, HIPAA compliance, regulatory training, and site-specific onboarding. 5.Provides orientation to students regarding clinical expectations, policies, and procedures, and maintains the clinical education manuals. 6.Monitors student academic performance, clinical competency progression, and professional behavior to ensure readiness for and continuation in clinical education. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Education/Experience: Degree and credit hour requirements must be met in accordance with the criteria for accreditation of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and specific program accreditation requirements. Must have experience in clinical education with students in the clinical environment. Minimum Requirements: • Graduate of an accredited Radiography Program • Earned Bachelor's degree or Higher • Must have a minimum of two years' experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist • Documents a minimum of one year experience as an instructor (clinical and/or didactic) in a JRCERT-accredited radiography program Preferred Qualifications • Experience with the student clinical on-boarding process with clinical affiliates. • Experience teaching in an accredited Radiography program that include clinical coordinator experience or equivalent coursework. • Knowledge of education, management, and adult learning theories and principles • Supervisory Experience: Prior experience supervising students or mentoring co-workers • Language Ability: Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills • Math Ability: N/A • Reasoning Ability: Knowledge of legislative, regulatory, legal and practice issues affecting clinical education, students, and the profession of radiology. • Computer Skills: Must demonstrate effective use of instructional technology and be familiar with current office hardware and software. • Certificates and Licenses: Hold American Registry of Radiologic Technologists current certification and registration in radiography.
