Adjunct Faculty, Graphic Design State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota Location: Bradenton Department: Art, Design, Humanities Closing: Continuous Description State College of Florida is accepting applications for Adjunct Faculty in Graphic Design. Adjunct faculty are temporary, part-time instructors contracted as needed. Compensation is $2000 per 3 ILH. Essential Duties • Teach assigned courses • Maintain attendance and punctuality • Prepare syllabi and instructional materials if needed • Deliver course content effectively and support learning outcomes • Participate in assessment activities • Maintain accurate attendance and grading records • Coordinate substitute instruction during absences • Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment • Demonstrate professional growth and effective teaching practices • Support departmental collaboration and institutional goals Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Graphics, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or Art; OR • Associate degree with demonstrated related work experience and competencies • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign • Demonstrated teaching skills and subject knowledge, preferably at the community college level Preferred Qualifications • Community college or A.S. program teaching experience • Animation teaching or industry experience Additional Requirements • Effective use of instructional technology and office software • Strong communication skills with students, staff, and the public Work Environment & Physical Requirements • Indoor classroom/office setting • May require standing or sitting for extended periods • Ability to travel across campus locations • May require personal protective equipment Pre-Employment Requirements Employment is contingent upon successful background screenings and employment reference checks.
