Head Coach, Court Volleyball (Stipend) Top Message Join the SCF Athletics Department!The Head Coach will maintain and /or enhance every aspect of the intercollegiate athletic program as part of the mission of State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota. Job Description Applicants may be asked to demonstrate any or all of the following duties: 1.The Head Coach is expected to play a positive role in the leadership of students-athlete and teams. 2. The Head Coach is expected to conduct himself/herself in a professional manner being a positive role model for his/her players, and will ensure assistant coaches and players conduct themselves in a professional manner abiding by the SCF, FCSAA and NJCAA Code of Conduct. 3. The Head Coach will be responsible for knowing and abiding by all SCF, FCSAA and NJCAA policies and procedures, and is expected to loyally support all policies, procedures and decisions/interpretations rendered by these agencies. 4. The Head Coach will be responsible for coaching, recruitment and selection of student-athletes, budgeting, scheduling of games, promotions, participation in state and national polls, input of statistics in a timely fashion, and public relations both on-campus and in the college district. 5. The Head Coach is responsible for the academic tracking, class attendance, graduation rates, matriculation rates and four-year scholarship rates for all student-athletes. 6. The Head Coach is responsible for participating in fund-raising projects to support intercollegiate athletics. 7. The Head Coach will ensure their student-athletes, specifically, and all student-athletes, generally, follow the rules and regulations of the College sanctioned housing as set forth in the SCF Student-Athlete Handbook and Housing Agreement (when applicable) by working with his/her assistant coach(s) in monitoring on a weekly basis. 8. The Head Coach will participate in non-athletic related college functions, as requested by the Director. 9 Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications · Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 3 years of related coaching/playing experience at high school level or higher.· Supervisory Experience: Supervisory experience is not required. Leadership experience is preferred.· Certificates and Licenses: CPR certification or ability to obtain. Valid Florida driver’s license or the ability to obtain and maintain. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree. Knowlesge of FCSAA/NJCAA rules. Recruiting experience.
